I am a video editor and I recently went on a work trip to Vegas. This is a drawing of what I look like the first day vs the 5th day of video editing. For the most part on these trips we are trapped in a hotel room editing for 12-15 hours a day! By the end of the trip we really look like hell!

Yelapa Waterfall and Boobies

I drew this comic of our mule trek to a waterfall in Yelapa, Mexico. We went swimming in the waterfall. It was so great. Then we went back to the beach and had lunch and a nap. Then on the boat ride home one of the women on our tour took off her top and started flashing passing boats.

Michilada Mule Ride

We were waiting for them to get the mules ready so I ordered a michilada from the beach bar. It was obscenely large!! I wondered how I would finish it before our mule trek! I was surprised when I got on the mule and then they handed me the drink. Lots of people laughed at me drinking an enormous michilada while on a mule. We crossed a big muddy river like that. A hippy girl in the street watching us pass by told me I was living my best life! She was right, I was! I definitely want to go back to Yelapa, Mexico! There were roosters in the streets and dogs of beach dogs.

Yelapa (part 1)

We were worried this tour would be another weird one and we would be stuck on a boat with drunk 18 year olds and have to listen to pop music the entire time. We were very glad it wasn't like that! When we got to yelapa we got to hold an enormous lizard. The man who let us hold the lizard charged us to take photos with him. Then he offered to sell us so pot.

Culture and Parasites

We were by far the youngest people on our tour. We enjoyed it very much but during lunch Megger was talking to some older people about her travels and told them all about getting a parasite. It disturbed them very much and they all reached for their hand sanitizer.

Not as Described – Part 3

On the way home all the drunk teenagers on our boat had a dance contest. We were cold and the pop music was driving us insane. I could not get off that boat soon enough. When we got back to our apartment one of our canadian friends told us we should go get some two for one ribs for 6 dollars.

It is incredible that we saw whales on this tour because the boat was blasting really obnoxious music the entire time! We did try to snorkel but the water was very cold and also kind of rough. The best part about snorkeling is that we saw blue footed boobies hanging out on the rocks!

 

Eco-Tour not as Described

On our trip to Puerto Vallarta we signed up for a boat tour.. we were told it was an eco-tour, but it turned out to be a drunk tour. The boat was full of drunk teenagers who were tasting alcohol for the first time. There was no marine biologist, as had been described to us!

Eco-Tour Booked

We signed up for a bunch of tours in Puerto Vallarta because they all sounded amazing! I was especially pumped to go on the eco-tour, where we would see whales, a variety of birds, get to visited a protected island, and get to learn things from a marine biologist. After we bought the tours we had an amazing dinner on a terrace downtown and watched the pelicans hunting for their dinner.

I woke up the first morning in Puerto Vallarta with a text from my dog walker - Fox had slipped out of her collar and run away! I took her and my neighbor 45 minutes to catch her! She is such a wild animal! She even jumped into the lake at one point?

Puerto Vallarta – cats, lizards, and Canadians

A friend let us stay in her apartment for free when we went to mexico. The place was really big and great! It was landscaped like a lush jungle! Everyone that was staying there was Canadian and retired which we kind of like. We also liked that there were stray cats all over the place.

I recently adopted a little dog from Chicago Canine Rescue. She looks like a little Fox. I made this comic about her. She likes to hide and stare at me. Once I put her in a cozy place she passed out and slept for days!

It was a little bit impulsive, but I just decided that I did not want to live without a dog and so I went to Chicago Canine Rescue. I saw a bunch of dogs, but when I saw this dog I knew I would be taking her home. She was so terrified. Her siblings had already been adopted and so she was all by herself. I could not stand to leave her there! I made this comic about adopting her.
